Every year Hotel Hanshin accepts South Korean students as interns. This year, 6 students from the Tourism Department of Uson Information University will have the opportunity to brush up their Japanese and gain valuable practical experience in hotel management during their internship.

Standing on Mr.An In-hyung’s right is Ms. Song Ok-Kyung, who won the second prize in the Japanese language examination class at Uson-University.; Ms. Jo Seul Ah, who loves ramen and sushi; and Ms. Jo Su Jin, who has previous experience working in the hotel industry in Seoul.

After finishing the initial one week training period, they will serve guests of Hotel Hanshin’s restaurant, Street Café. Following that, the interns will have an opportunity to experience working as front desk staff.

When they were shown around the hotel the facilities, they were particularly impressed by the many beautiful wedding dresses in the Bridal section. The personal history video of the bridegroom also attracted their attention, as did the wedding album display in the photo studio.

For them, the most fascinating thing in the Bridal section was the 'shrine' used for Japanese traditional weddings. They expressed an interest in the traditional Japanese wedding customs and the tools used in the ceremony. In particular, they thought seaweed as a gift to the shrine to be an interesting custom.



The interns, as members of the Hanshin staff, can look forward to a challenging four months of learning the ins and outs of hotel work.
